If you happen to be meandering around Albert Park, then you really must do yourself a favour and pop in to Urban Projuice. This gorgeous two-storey Victorian terrace home turned café is a fantastic option for tasty plates of wholefood goodness. The team at Urban Projuice are a wonderfully happy bunch of foodies who really love what they do. Using only fresh produce that is locally grown, seasonal and contains no refined sugar, you know that you really are being looked after.
The vibe here is warm, welcoming and relaxed with loads of cosy spaces to sit back and chat. Head upstairs and onto the front balcony for a wonderful view amongst the tree dotted streetscape or head out to the rear courtyard which is filled with chat friendly benches. If solo munching is more your style, then fear not – free WiFi throughout. You won’t be able to resist updating your Instagram feed here, the food is too good not to snap! #urbanprojuice
Urbane Projuice’s signature dish is the vegan, gluten-free buckwheat pancakes, served with coconut ice-cream (can we just talk about this coconut ice cream please!!! OMG so good), banana, mixed berries and fresh strawberries. If lunch is more your style, then the DIY Spring rolls and Mex Fiesta soft tacos are mouth-wateringly good. A good little kid’s menu too.
If food is not what your after then stress less! The drinks menu at Urban Projuice is fit for a King. Kombucha, cold-pressed juices, smoothies, whole coconuts, chai and an array of colourful lattes are dotted amongst the menu. However, if you feel like something a little stronger then rest assured, as even the coffee here is good for you. A Red Star organic, fair -trade, carbon neutral Guatemalan roast will soothe your coffee cravings in no time.
